I am impressed particularly with the sound on this tv! The built in speakers are above par when compared to similar products.
The menu is simple and I appreciate all the features. Picture is true Sony brand quality.
My only qualm, and this is superficial, is that when the inputs are to the side of the tv (probably for ease of insert if it is mounted) the cords can stick out beyond the tv. I just don't care to see my VGA cord sticking to the left instead of just heading straight down the middle. Then again, I am glad to have the PC input at all.
Remember it doesn't have an HDTV tuner built in (for those who don't subscribe to cable)
Finally, for the price you can't do better!

I have had problems with the color fluctuating on this television since the day I got it. Every time I call Sony they tell me to try some ridiculous thing like reset the TV or change the cables or whatever WHEN THE TELEVISION IS DEFECTIVE. They sent someone to my house with a replacement TV of the SAME MODEL with the SAME problem, then came out again and put a new board in, same problem. SONY refuses to replace the TV with a new model and keeps telling me it's my problem. They also said they have had other complaints about the TV about the color and yet they do nothing about it!!! I bought this TV when it was brand new and now I'm out [...] bucks and Sony couldn't care less. I also work at one of the major TV networks in NYC and our entired network DOES NOT buy SONY products because of their poor quality and their poor customer service. I would give this television negative stars if I could. Stay away from SONY, they are terrible.

I recently purchase this TV and I couldn't be happier. Perfect size for a bedroom or college dorm, and my bluray movies and videogames look great. The new firmwire on Sony's site fixed all the audio issues, all you have to do is download it to a flash drive. If your buying a 32 inch TV there is no better choice, buy with confidence

Hi,
I've just had the tv replaced, but the replacement has the exact problem. Audio is awful at low volumes. From reading others experience, this is common with this model TV. What a shame, otherwise it is a nice tv.
sincerely,

Hums at low volume
Loud pops and cracks when changing inputs
PC audio is sent to input 2, while video is on input 1 when using hdmi cable
What happened to Sony, I thought they made the best quality TVs
This is my first and last Sony TV( maybe any other Sony product )
There is a good reason why all sizes of the KDL**S5100 are selling well below list price.
