Went off the reviews here after looking at other lcd tv's so far very impressed.I ordered the TV throught amazon when they had the superbowl sale and the shipping from amazon to the delivery was excellent. The TV arrived 2 days before the superbowl the delivery service amazon uses will call you to set up a delivery time.Out the box no dead pixels and setup was very easy to where you did not even need to read the instructions. The tv guides you through on which buttons to press for setup.HD channels look awesome watched the Superbowl in HD and now watching Nascar season in HD.The size of the tv was also perfect I live in an apartment and went off amazon's recommended feet and inches by viewing distance.DVD movies also look good.No problems with motion blur at all watching dvd's or regular tv shows. On feature I was impressed with is the internal speakers how they put out good sound.I have a surround sound system I like watching movies with and some shows on TV that sound good on surround sound. But, if you don't want to turn on the surround sound and watch a news broadcast or watch tv with the internal speakers the sound from the tv does not disapoint.Another good point about this tv is how light it was.I was able to lift the tv by myself and place on my TV stand with no strain at all.My last TV was an early Samsung HD 30 inch tube tv that was heavy and that tv was a 2 person lift when you needed to move it.To be able to move a 37 inch LCD tv and don't need to bother the neighbor for help or if you need to do any cleaning is great!!!

I bought this Panasonic 37" 120 Hz from Amazon Warehouse. It was obviously a returned item, but accurately described as "pristine", with minor damage to the outside box only. The TV had apparently never been unpacked -- perhaps rejected because of the damage to the outside box. The price was about $700 with Amazon't 30-day return and the manufacturer's warranty.
The picture is very good IMO, with vivid, true colors that I tweaked to my liking. The 120 Hz refresh rates makes computer graphics more impactful and of course motion is fluid. The sound is surprisingly good for a LED TV. I see a difference between this TV's 1080p and a 42" 720p plasma Samsung. The 720p plasma has an outstanding 600 Hz refresh rate, but lacks the razor-sharp picture of the 1080p. On the other hand, the plasma has slightly richer colors.
This particular TV has one advantage over all others in the 37" category: it is just 35" wide, and fits into the big wall unit we had for a 34" CRT. It was very easy to install, light enough for one person to manage.
No complaints yet.

This set was primarily purchased because of its size. I have an armoire in the bedroom that only has 36" of space inside it to place a TV in. When looking for a 37" model to fit this space. Panasonic was the only one I could find that was less than 36" wide. It measures 35.2" wide and is a perfect fit. Now that I have the set, I am quite pleased with it. The picture quality is very good. I am not a great fan of the very bright settings for the screen but the cinema setting produces a very nice image with good blacks and shadow details. The wide viewing angle of the screen is nice too. Since some sets only seem to look their best straight in front of them. If you are limited in space but want a nice picture the Panasonic Viera TC-L37G1 is a good buy. The buying experience through Amazon worked well. I only wish that customer pick-up was available as well. The set started out about 100 miles from my house. The delivery path took the set from West of Indy to Columbus, Ohio to Lousiville, KY and finally back to me over a week later. But all-in-all a good experience. Plus the price and no shipping costs were great!

Really happy with ease of set up. Picture quality and sound are superior. Size of TV is really good for a smaller house. I got a 37" screen for a tiny house and TV doesn't dominate the room. Stands about 1" shorter than competitors' TVs. I also like the shape and size of the base, attractive and sturdy.

I waited until I had owned the set 2 months before writing this review. I bought Panasonic because of their reliability record and because all their sets have good off-angle viewing. This particular set is about 1 inch narrower than nearly all other 37" sets, which I needed to fit in my cabinet. As others have said, the picture quality is great and the controls and adjustments are logical. The off- angle viewing is very good, especially compared to my Sony set in another room, whose picture degrades at small angles off center. The sound quality is fine but not exceptional. For those that connect their TV audio output to their stereo, this set does not have the "old fashion" rca jacks for analog output. The headphone output can be used but the signal level is very low compared to other inputs and requires your stereo volume to be turned most of the way up. The TV does have optical digital audio output. The SD card slot for viewing photos is useful but is not very flexible; you can do a slide show at different speeds but cannot advance photos manually without getting text on the screen, spoiling the photos. The set swivels on its base 30 degrees, which can be useful. I highly recommend this set.
